El Salvador is a small country located on the Pacific ocean of Central America. With only 8,124 square miles of land, this country is very small. El Salvador sits on the Ring of Fire, on another page. Being on the Ring of Fire, El Salvador is constantly enduring natural disasters. El Salvador has about one earthquake a week! And with only 6 million people living there, everyone is affected. Poverty has become a very normal thing in El Salvador, after a natural disaster, they don't have enough money to rebuild, so they fall into poverty. El Salvador also has one of the biggest crime rates in Central America. MS-13, the most dangerous gang in the world, takes on El Salvador. Killings happen a lot, and so do natural disasters, but American Red Cross is trying to help.
